Katharine Quinton holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Western Ontario where her major instrument was flute. Her teachers were Margaret Voorhaar and Annelie Metrakos, both flautists with Orchestra London. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Education degree at Nipissing University and an Associate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy from Conservatory Canada. She has also completed Level 1 of the Kodaly pedagogy certificate. Katharine is an experienced educator and church music director whose experience includes teaching music both in the classroom and privately, directing children’s and adult choirs, directing bands, as well as 5 years experience writing and teaching school programs at the London Regional Children’s Museum. Katharine also plays flute with Jubilance Singers and Orchestra, playing in churches in the Toronto area and on international tours.
