Experienced with children, Claire taught English at Rosaryhill Kindergarten and piano lessons at Tom Lee Music Centre in Hong Kong. Her teaching method for young students integrates musical games, nursery rhymes and percussion instruments for variety. Awards include the Webb Piano Performance Scholarship from the University of Toronto, the Davenport Musical Festival ARCT scholarship and an Ontario Scholar Award.
